I had been searching for a contractor to build my next laundromat for over a year after having been dissatisfied with my previous contractor.  After calling many contractors asking for an estimate, with several of them never returning calls, I was presented with four options. None of them were suitable; some were so cheap it was suspect, while others were way beyond my budget. None of them were willing to explain in further detail how they arrived at their estimate, and it was very difficult to get in touch with them. I decided to scrap them all and start over.  I had begun to lose hope in finding anyone I could feel good about tackling my project.

 

I told my brother, who is a distributor in the laundromat business, about my contractor woes, and he recommended Matt Becker and Alan McPhall (AM Builders).  I didn’t know it then, but this was when the tide turned. I called Matt, and he and Alan were able to meet me that same week to look at my property.  They spent time with me clarifying my vision, asking and answering the kinds of questions that made me realize they had extensive experience. I began to feel like I’d finally found a knowledgeable, experienced contractor who would actually listen and communicate. This made me concerned that their estimate would be outrageous.

 

But it was not so. The price was well within my budget and reasonable. Matt patiently went through their estimate point-by-point and laid everything out on the table. I decided to proceed with AM Builders, and could not be happier that I did. Throughout the project, they remained available to call, email, and bounce ideas between us. Any issues that arose, as do in any construction project, were addressed immediately with clear communication with me, the subs, the laundry distributor, city codes, and any other interested parties. Alan is a professional at keeping everyone on task.  The process was as smooth as could ever be expected, and I could not be more satisfied with the product.

 

The AM Builders team went above and beyond to make sure I was happy each step of the way. I can confidently recommend them and will be using them to build my next laundromat.
